   Employee ownership issues are strongly growing in many countries. This press review gathered 500 articles in October and November last year and 712 articles in December. It is now 1.053 articles in January 2006.
This is mainly due to the fact that employee ownership is now at the agenda in Germany and in Austria.
Below our selection about 8 themes (in Germany, Austria, USA, India, South Africa and Scotland) and our full press review.
Many articles are about three main subjects: Angela Merkel's position in favour of stronger employee ownership in Germany (95 articles); employee ownership development in the framework of the privatisation of Austrian Post (94 articles); after General Motors in December, it is now Ford Motor who plans to cut up to 30,000 jobs and shutter 14 plants in a sweeping restructuring in the USA – however, Ford plans to help workers using buyouts (230 articles).
The full press review lists 1.053 articles, on which 517 in the USA, 130 in Germany and 100 in Austria, 92 in Argentina, 51 in Spain, 48 in France, 29 in Italy, 22 in India, 13 in UK, 12 in Brazil, 8 in Canada, 6 in South Africa, 4 in Chile, 3 in Philippines, 3 in Colombia, 2 in The Netherlands, 2 in Venezuela, 2 in Jordan, 1 in Thailand, 1 in South Korea, 1 in Romania, 1 in Ireland, 1 in Indonesia, 1 in Barbados, 1 in Bangladesh, 1 in Australia.

Principal fait nouveau: développer l'actionnariat salarié est désormais à l'ordre du jour non seulement en Allemagne mais aussi en Autriche.

Nombreux articles sur trois grands sujets: prises de positions de Angela Merkel en Allemagne (95 articles); promotion de l'actionnariat salarié dans le contexte de l'entrée en bourse de la Poste autrichienne (94 articles); enfin aux USA, après General Motors en décembre, c'est au tour de Ford Motor d'annoncer 30.000 suppressions d'emplois et 14 fermetures d'usines – toutefois Ford envisage de soutenir la reprise d'entreprises par les salariés (230 articles).

Principal novedad : desarrollar el accionariado asalariado es hoy en día un tema del orden del día no solamente en Alemaña pero tambien en Austria.
